Here's a quick rundown on how to record a demo in game and post a demo on this forum.
To record in game:
1) Pull down your console by pressing the ~ key while you are watching the accused hacker.
2) Type record <demoname>, where demoname is what you want to call the demo, then press enter.
3) Press the ~ again to close the console and to keep the demo recording.
4) When you're done getting your proof, and you are sure it shows a hack, pull down the ~ key and type stop and press enter.
To find a demo:

You can do the following to find EXACTLY where your cstrike folder is.
1. Right click your icon on your desktop where you start CS from (if using STEAM, then do it on your steam menu).
2. Point to "Properties" and left click.
3. A new window will appear, and under the "Shortcut" tab, there will be a field that says "Start in".
4. Copy that path without quotes (""), open windows explorer, and paste that path in your address bar.
5. When it redirects you, look for a folder called "cstrike".
6. Double click to open this folder and you will find all your demos.
6a. This is where you would also put demos you download from wherever. Just drag and drop.
To Post a demo:
1) Go to a hosting site like Rapidshare.com.
2) Click where it will says upload file (differs by site).
3) Click browse and point to your CSTRIKE folder and look for the file you recorded (Will be what you called it). It will end in .dem
4) Click upload or OK and wait for it to upload.
5) Copy and past the link to the file here where we will be able to download it and watch. |
